Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work on neuro and stroke unit caring for adults with embolic and hemorrhagic strokes, seizures, and neurosurgical cases
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 on days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• 1 year of EPIC charting experience required
• Must have active South Carolina or multistate nursing license
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• May be required to float to other units or campuses as needed based on census and qualifications
• Pre-assignment testing and modules required within 48 hours of receiving login information
• Clinical skills required: starting IVs, accessing ports, managing PICC and central lines, blood product administration, PCA and heparin protocols, telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, trach management, CVA care, spinal cord injury care, traumatic brain injury care, continuous bladder irrigation, surgical drain management, and feeding tube care
• Must be comfortable with isolation precautions and Rapid Response Team protocols
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Follow AHA stroke guidelines for Comprehensive Stroke Center designation
