Med Surg RN Job in Lafayette, IN

You will work as an RN on a 17-bed Med Surg Neuro/Trauma unit at Franciscan Health Lafayette. This is a night shift position with 3x12-hour shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, including every third weekend. No on-call requirements.

Unit and Staffing

• Patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:4 depending on acuity for stepdowns or bedholds
• Minimum of 7 staff per shift depending on census
• Night shift team includes 1 charge nurse, 6–7 RNs, 1–2 PCAs, and sitters as needed

Clinical Responsibilities

You will perform and assist with procedures including TLC, intubation, CRRT, TTM, Stroke tPA, foley catheter, CPR, defibrillation/cardioversion, and TEE. You will operate and monitor equipment including ventilators, CRRT machines, monitors, and IV pumps. Documentation and patient record management will be handled using EPIC EMR.

Requirements

• RN State licensure
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• NIH stroke scale certification
• Passing EKG competency for rhythm interpretation
• ICU or critical care experience required

Preferred Qualifications

• TNCC or TCAR certification

Additional Information

Navy blue scrubs are required. This assignment runs for 84 days, with a start date of July 27, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,102.40.
