CVOR Technologist Job in Lake Charles, LA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join CHRISTUS Ochsner St Patrick Hospital in Lake Charles, LA as a CVOR Technologist. This is a full-time position running 5 days per week on day shift.

Position Details:

• Shift: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: October 19, 2026
• Weekly pay: $1,508
• One on-call weekend per month required
• Potential to float to Lake Area locations

Responsibilities:

• Handle up to 4 cases per day in neurosurgery, orthopedics, general surgery, podiatry, and urology (no CV cases)
• Prepare and care for pre-operative patients, including skin preparation and patient transport
• Set up operating room tables, instruments, and supplies according to case type
• Establish and maintain sterile field; pass instruments and sutures to physician
• Maintain and update physician preference cards
• Monitor and control surgical environment, including traffic control and OR sanitation adherence
• Maintain aseptic techniques and actively monitor for potential breaches
• Adhere to Universal Barrier Precautions
• Identify and care for biological specimens
• Position patients according to type of surgery

Requirements:

• Certified Surgical Technologist or LVN/LPN License
• BLS certification required
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of Surgical Technology program or accredited LVN/LPN program
• Minimum 2 years of experience in neurosurgery, orthopedics, general surgery, podiatry, and urology preferred
