Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Neuro Med Surg unit with 38 beds and 55 staff members
• Patient ratios of 5:1 or 6:1 (estimated, never guaranteed)
• Work with IV pumps, seizure monitoring, Bi-pap, C-pap, and glucometers
• Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech
• Day shift staffing includes 2 charges (without patients), 4-5:1 RN ratio, and 2 PCTs
• Minimum 1 year current acute care hospital Med/Surg experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Neuro experience and Meditech experience preferred
• Perform NIH/stroke assessments and neuro assessments
• Conduct fall risk assessments
• Provide trach care and feeding tube management
• Must be initiative-taking and collaborative team member
• Ideal candidates are enthusiastic about neuro patient population with strong critical thinking skills
• Must be able to multi-task, take initiative, and work flexibly with positive energy
