PCU Registered Nurse Job in Leonardtown, MD

Opportunity:

RN - IMC

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Maintain 1:4 patient ratio in IMC unit
• Every other weekend coverage required based on operational needs
• Float to Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units as needed (1:5/1:6 ratio)
• No on-call responsibilities required
• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• PCU/IMC/Stepdown experience required with minimum 2 years of experience
• Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment
• Care for adult patients with diagnoses including CHF, diabetes, COPD/asthma, sepsis, pneumothorax, ESRD/dialysis, hypertension/hypotension, ETOH withdrawal, and general surgery
• Perform special procedures including chest tube management, PCA infusions, bedside monitoring, and non-titratable drips
• Utilize special equipment including bedside monitoring for up to 8 patients, ultrasound IV, cardiac monitoring, and lift equipment
• Provide care including BiPAP/CPAP management, central line care, feeding tube management, and telemetry monitoring
