Endoscopy Technician

Endoscopy Tech - GI Tech

Job Details:

• Full-time schedule working in an endoscopy and procedure center environment
• Sterilize and prepare rooms and equipment, including scopes, before and after procedures
• Support and assist physicians and registered nurses with procedures as directed
• Verify proper equipment functioning and perform safety checks
• Maintain and/or repair endoscopic equipment
• Collect and deliver specimens collected during procedures while ensuring sterile field integrity
• Assist in patient intake, transport, paperwork, and recordkeeping of physician observations
• Place monitoring devices on patients including blood pressure cuffs, surgical cautery pads, cardiac monitoring electrodes, pulse oximeter sensors, and nasal cannulas
• Distribute information regarding equipment or instruments at in-service training sessions
• Participate actively in in-service trainings to validate and refresh basic professional skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• One of the following required: Associate's degree in Medical Assisting or Surgical Technology, Certified Nurse Assistant certification, or six (6) months of Endoscopy Technician experience
