PCU RN Job in Asheville, NC

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. This is a contractor replacement position supporting the step-down staffing pool.

Role Overview

You'll provide intermediate-level care for patients transitioning from intensive care to general medical floors. Your responsibilities include monitoring patients with advanced cardiac monitoring and telemetry equipment, administering medications and treatments per physician orders, and documenting patient care with clear communication about changes in patient condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor patients requiring step-down services from critical care
• Work with advanced cardiac monitoring and telemetry technology
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Document patient care thoroughly and communicate condition changes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Required certifications maintained
• Experience in progressive care or telemetry preferred

Assignment Details

• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: March 30, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,102.40
