Respiratory Therapist Job in Bismarck, ND

CHI St Alexius Health Bismarck Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join its clinical team. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with rotating every third weekend and holiday coverage required.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care across all patient populations, from neonatal to geriatrics
• Cover Level II trauma, NICU, ICU, surgical, medical, and cardiac units throughout the facility
• Operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment including Airvo, PB 840 Vent, PB 980 Vent, Hamilton C1, MR1, and V-60 Respironics
• Work independently and make sound clinical judgments in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Document patient care using the EPIC charting system
• Complete three twelve-hour orientation shifts

Requirements

• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• Current RRT or CRT credential
• North Dakota state respiratory therapist license
• Mandatory NICU experience
• Ability to work within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Relocation Time Off (RTO) of 7 or fewer days per 13-week contract

Assignment Details

• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: June 15, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,444.04
• Shift: 3×12 nights

Your scope will be limited to respiratory therapy duties with no clinical involvement outside this specialty. You will be expected to function as an independent clinician while maintaining strong collaboration across the care team.
