NICU RN Job in Wichita, KS

Join Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas as a registered nurse in our neonatal intensive care unit. This seasonal travel position runs for 91 days, beginning June 30, 2026, offering 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. You will earn $1,839.60 per week.

You will work with neonates across our Level IV NICU, managing patient ratios of 2:1 in the NICU and 3:1 in the NSCU. Your responsibilities include performing IV insertion, whole body cooling, high frequency ventilation, chest tube management, and surgical case support for conditions including necrotizing enterocolitis, patent ductus arteriosus, and central venous catheter placement. You will also support PDA ligations and other complex procedural care.

Required Qualifications:

• Current, active Kansas nursing license
• Minimum 1 year of acute care NICU hospital experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Level IV NICU experience
• Prior Meditech experience
• Experience working at large teaching facilities

You will work with equipment including Medela, Alaris, Ohmeda, and Drager ventilators, as well as cardiac monitoring systems from Philips and GE. Our electronic medical record system uses Neonatal Notes Manager/Meditech.
