Echo Technologist Job in Abilene, TX

Hendrick Medical Center South is seeking an Echo Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 22, 2026. You will work 5×8 hour day shifts with occasional weekend call coverage (3–6 weekend shifts per contract).

Role Overview

You will provide echocardiography services in a 3-room facility with a daily census of approximately 80 patients and 8 visits per day. Your responsibilities include performing transthoracic echo, transesophageal echo (TEE), stress echo, 3-D echo, bubble studies, portable studies, and emergency department work. You will work with patients across all age groups—infants, adolescents, and adults.

Required Qualifications

• Current ARDMS registration with RDCS (echocardiography) and RVT or RVS (vascular) for adults
• Minimum 1 year of echocardiography experience
• 2 years of experience in the service line
• Eligible certifications include ARDMS RDCS AE, ARDMS RDCS PE, CCI, CCI RCS, CCI RVS, and RDCS–RVT
• Travel healthcare experience preferred
• Pediatric experience is a bonus

Equipment & Systems

Experience with GE and Philips ultrasound equipment is preferred. Altera charting system experience is preferred but not required.

Onboarding & Compliance

You will complete 8 hours of orientation plus 6–8 hours of non-billable training modules. A mandatory drug screen (including marijuana testing) is required upon arrival, and all lab work must be completed within 72 hours of accepting the offer. One pre-approved time off is permitted during your contract.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $3,024 for this 91-day assignment.
