Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• ED Hold position with float responsibilities to Med/Surg Tele when not utilized in ED Holding
• 3x12 day shifts from 7:00 AM to 9:30 PM
• Weekend rotation required
• No on-call requirement
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the emergency department required
• Travel experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Must be willing to float to Med/Surg Tele when not utilized in ED Hold
• Demonstrate understanding of evidence-based practice, pathophysiology, pharmacological implications, and regulatory issues
• Accurately and thoroughly document assessments and perform clinical procedures including IV, Foley, and dressings
• Provide effective patient and family education
• Maintain proper use of telemonitoring, IV, ventilator, and safe medication administration
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
• Serve as patient advocate and work both independently and as part of a team
• Charting system: Epic
• Patient age groups served: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• California RN licensure required
