PCU RN Job in Asheville, NC

You'll work as an RN in a 36-bed Progressive Care Unit at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. This is a night shift position: 3x12 hours, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. The assignment runs for 91 days, starting February 23, 2026. You'll earn $2,102.40 per week.

Your Role

You'll provide direct patient care in a progressive care setting alongside a charge nurse, 6 to 7 additional RNs, 3 CNAs, and sitters. Patient ratios on night shift run 1:6 to 1:7. You'll prepare patients for Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology, and Operating Room procedures. You'll use medical remote telemetry monitoring, Cerner Patient Observation (CPO), and VC150s in every patient room. Documentation happens through the Cerner EMR system. Work stations on wheels and Tap and Go computer access support your workflow.

Schedule and Expectations

You must sign up for 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. On night shift, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday count as weekend shifts. You may float to sister Medical-Surgical units on 3W, 5W, and K8 as needed.

Requirements

• Current BLS certification
• Medical Telemetry experience preferred
• Leadership or Charge Nurse experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• CMSRN certification encouraged

Dress Code

Navy blue scrubs (top and bottom), white top with navy bottom, or all white.
