PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Block scheduling type
• Call required on weeknights and weekend shifts, with 2 weekend call shifts and 2 weeknight call shifts per month (4 shifts total)
• Patient ratio of 1:3 for both days and nights
• 27-bed unit serving adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• 16 orientation hours required
• One pre-approved time off request allowed
• Candidates must float
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must be located more than 75 miles from facility
• Epic charting experience is a hard requirement
• Scrubs provided in teal
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• New York nursing license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement required
• Key skills include Phase I PACU, Phase II Recovery, Endo/Laparoscopic, General, Ortho, Ortho/Spine, and Ortho/Total Joints
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams, and more
