PCU RN Job in Omaha, NE

CHI Health Lakeside is seeking an RN (Registered Nurse) for their Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Omaha, NE. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 6, 2026.

Assignment Details

• Shift: 3x12 nights (6:30 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Weekly pay: $2,384.64
• Duration: 91 days
• 28-bed Progressive Care Unit with 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio

Your Role

You will provide direct patient care in a high-flow unit serving adult patients with mixed medical/surgical, cardiac, and stroke diagnoses. Responsibilities include titrating drips (heparin, octreotide, insulin), reading and interpreting telemetry monitoring, and managing frequent admissions, transfers, and discharges. You may float to Med/Surg, ICU, ED, and other hospital areas as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN licensure
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Valid driver's license at time of submittal
• Must live outside 50-mile radius of facility

Onboarding

Your first week includes classroom orientation followed by two twelve-hour unit-specific training shifts. You must pass an open-book exam with a 90% score during orientation.

Additional Requirements

• Work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period (night weekends are Fridays and Saturdays)
• Holiday rotation required with permanent staff
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Artificial nails prohibited
• EPIC charting system used
• Cannot be currently employed with CommonSpirit facilities
