Occupational Therapist Job in Richmond, VA

You'll work as an Occupational Therapist on a 44-bed rehabilitation therapy unit at CJW Medical - Johnston-Willis Campus. This is a 4x10 day shift role, working 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday with weekend rotation required. The assignment runs 91 days, starting June 22, 2026, and pays $2,044 per week.

Your responsibilities:

• Provide manual therapy for neuro re-education, therapeutic exercise, functional activity, neuromuscular re-education, and self-care training
• Perform functional electrical stimulation as part of treatment plans
• Conduct stroke evaluation and treatment
• Maintain patient ratios of 4:1 and document in Meditech Expanse
• Use AIDET communication and immediate service recovery principles to support patient experience
• Float to acute hospital settings when rehabilitation census is low

What you'll need:

• Minimum 2 years of hospital setting experience
• Stroke evaluation and treatment experience required
• Hospital and inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred
• Therapy degree and current licensure

Your team and environment:

You'll collaborate with 10 OT/PT teams, 3 speech therapists, and 1 tech. The unit is equipped with Sara Lifts, Ceiling Lifts, Bioness, and Diego equipment to support your clinical work. Dress code is black scrub bottoms and royal blue top preferred.
