Oncology RN Job in Pagosa Springs, CO

Join Pagosa Springs Medical Center as an Oncology Infusion RN. You will administer chemotherapy and infusion medications, manage patient care in an outpatient oncology setting, and support patients through their treatment journey.

Schedule & Duration

• Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• 40 hours per week
• No weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements
• Occasional Friday coverage may be requested
• 91-day assignment starting October 19, 2026

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and infusion medications as ordered
• Perform IV starts, port access, and central line care
• Operate infusion pumps and monitor infusion therapy
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and changes in condition
• Provide patient education on treatments, medications, and symptom management
• Perform patient assessments, obtain vital signs, and track treatment response
• Document all care in the Cerner EMR system
• Coordinate with oncology providers and interdisciplinary team members
• Assist with treatment preparation and chart review
• Manage lab orders, treatment verification, and insurance authorization

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience
• OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification
• ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification
• AHA BLS certification
• ACLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Outpatient infusion experience
• Port and PICC access experience
• Experience administering chemotherapy

Weekly pay: $2,651
