RN - Acute Care

Job Details:

• Deliver and coordinate high-quality nursing care using the nursing process including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Provide hands-on patient care and delegate appropriate duties to supervised staff members
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans involving patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Administer medications, fluids, and respiratory treatments as prescribed
• Recognize and interpret patient symptoms and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient status, interventions, and outcomes
• Educate patients and families about medications, treatments, and ongoing care after discharge
• Ensure infection control and safety policies are followed consistently
• Provide leadership and guidance to assigned staff to ensure continuity and quality of care
• Assist in the orientation and training of new team members
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of South Dakota or eligible for reciprocity required
• Prior acute care or hospital nursing experience preferred but not required
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and leadership skills required
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities required
