About this role
SEARHC Vintage Park in Juneau, Alaska is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for an ambulatory care clinic setting. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning May 18, 2026, working five 8-hour day shifts per week at $60 per hour ($1,752 weekly).
About the Role
You will provide direct patient care to individuals of all ages in an ambulatory care environment. Your responsibilities include rooming patients, performing point of care testing (POCT), conducting lab draws, and assisting with immunizations and injections within your scope of practice. You will collect specimens following proper protocols, help set up equipment and supplies for routine exams and minor procedures, and assist providers during treatments and minor office surgeries.
Additional duties include ECC monitoring, answering phones, processing provider orders, transporting patients within the facility, and accurately documenting patient information in charts. You will provide cross-coverage for peers to support efficient patient flow and may assist with radiology exams if competencies are met. You will also lead Clinical Assistant I and II positions and attend at least 50% of area staff meetings annually.
Requirements
- National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant
- Minimum 1 year of healthcare setting experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift and push/pull up to 25 lbs frequently
- Minimum 5 weeks clearance time required after fingerprint cards are received for background processing
Work Environment
You will work in an office and healthcare setting with exposure to controlled temperature environments. You must comply with dress code and departmental scheduling guidelines.
