About this role

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 182-day travel assignment at Barnes-Jewish Hospital Allied in Saint Louis, MO. You will work 3x12 night shifts with weekly pay of $2,137.10.

Position Requirements:

  • Current RRT certification and BCLS required
  • Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
  • Epic system experience required
  • Proficiency in airway management including endotracheal intubation, extubation, and tracheostomy care with suctioning
  • Competency with medication administration including albuterol, atrovent, combivent, inhaled flolan, inhaled steroids, lidocaine, nitric oxide, pulmicort, racemic epinephrine, and xopenex
  • Experience with aerosol delivery systems, metered dose inhalers, and multiple nebulizer types
  • High flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy experience
  • Mechanical ventilation management including BiPAP, CPAP, alarm troubleshooting, and weaning protocols
  • ABG interpretation skills required
  • Experience with PB840 and PB980 ventilators preferred

Assignment Details:

  • Start date: May 26, 2026
  • Duration: 182 days
  • Shift: 3x12 nights
  • Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract period
  • Every third weekend required
  • Maximum 7 days RTO per 13-week period (none allowed during first week)
  • 72 hours orientation included
  • Float within scope to support facility needs
  • Wear medium to dark gray scrubs
  • Patient population: Adults and geriatrics

You will manage complex respiratory cases, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and maintain compliance with all facility protocols and infection control standards throughout your assignment.
