Respiratory Therapist Job in Vicksburg, MS

Merit Health River Region is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment beginning June 8, 2026. You will provide comprehensive respiratory therapy services in an acute care hospital setting, working directly with patients and the clinical team to deliver quality respiratory care.

Assignment Details:

• Location: Vicksburg, MS
• Facility: Merit Health River Region
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour days, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Schedule: 3 days per week with alternating weekends
• Weekly Pay: $1,576.80

Requirements:

• Current RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential
• 1+ year of acute care hospital experience
• Valid BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Current NRP certification
• Permanent address located more than 50 miles from the facility

You will work as part of the respiratory care team, managing patient airways, operating ventilators, conducting diagnostic tests, and monitoring patient response to therapy. Your role includes assisting physicians and nurses in critical patient care scenarios and contributing to positive patient outcomes in the acute care environment.

This assignment offers the opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic hospital setting while maintaining the flexibility of travel healthcare. You must be willing to work every other weekend as scheduled and commit to the full 13-week duration.
