Physical Therapist Assistant Job in Harrisonville, MO

You will work as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in a long-term care setting at Tide Health Group - Golden Years in Harrisonville, Missouri. This is a 91-day temporary assignment on a day shift schedule (5x8 hours per week), paying $1,670.40 weekly.

In this role, you will provide rehabilitative and skilled treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will utilize evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions and deliver a range of rehabilitation procedures.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Administering manual techniques, ambulation training, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and assistive device instruction
• Assessing patient progress and communicating with your supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments as needed
• Reporting treatment effectiveness and outcomes to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Providing consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers
• Documenting all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system
• Accurately recording treatment minutes per regulatory requirements
• Participating in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
• Attending facility and company required trainings, in-services, and conferences
• Collaborating with the supervising Physical Therapist to obtain necessary durable medical equipment and supplies
• Supervising and supporting students under Physical Therapist guidance

Position requirements:

• Active Missouri PTA license
• Minimum 1 year of PTA experience
• Long-term care or rehab experience required
• Adherence to APTA and State required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics

This position offers no on-call responsibilities and no weekend requirements. You will work weekdays only in a stable, long-term care environment where you can focus on patient rehabilitation and recovery.
