Respiratory Therapist Job in Odessa, TX

Medical Center Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 91-day travel assignment. You'll work 3x12-hour night shifts with block scheduling available and will be required to cover 9 weekend shifts throughout your contract.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to adult med/surg, adult critical care, and general pediatric patients across all age groups—neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Manage all pulmonary processes, including trauma cases
• Perform ventilator management, blood gas analysis, intubation assistance, and aerosol therapies
• Work with specialized equipment including jet and oscillatory ventilation for NICU, PB 980 ventilators, V-60 for NIV, and nitric oxide delivery systems
• Collaborate with respiratory services and rapid response teams

Requirements

• Current RRT certification (CRT not accepted)
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)

Preferred Qualifications

• Travel healthcare experience
• Charge experience
• Cerner charting system experience
• Community hospital and trauma level experience

About the Facility

Medical Center Hospital is a 402-bed facility with a daily census of 270 patients. You'll receive 24 hours of orientation to familiarize yourself with equipment, protocols, and the respiratory team.
