X-Ray Technician Job in Redding, CA

Mercy Medical Center Redding is seeking an X-Ray Technician to join its diagnostic radiology department on a 91-day travel assignment. You'll work four 10-hour day shifts per week, starting at 8:00 AM with no weekend or on-call requirements.

Role Overview

You'll provide imaging support across operating room, emergency department, inpatient, and outpatient areas in a fast-paced setting. This position requires a self-starter mentality and the ability to work independently while supporting multiple clinical departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Philips iPatient 64 and big bore 16 CT equipment for diagnostic imaging
• Use C-arms in the operating room
• Perform radiographic procedures across OR, ER, and inpatient units
• Document and chart using the Cerner system
• Complete 1–2 shifts of department orientation

Required Qualifications

• Rad Tech I or Rad Tech II certification with documented CT experience
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience
• Current BLS certification
• ARRT (R) certification
• Fluoroscopy certification through California state

Preferred Qualifications

• Level II Trauma center experience
• First-time travelers are encouraged to apply

Additional Details

Teal scrubs are required; OR scrubs will be provided as needed. This assignment begins July 13, 2026, and offers weekly pay of $2,448. You'll be working in a diagnostic imaging environment that values technical competence and collaborative teamwork across multiple hospital departments.
