Opportunity:

Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Therapist NICU

Job Details:

• Work in multiple pediatric units including Pedi ED (30 beds), PICU (24 beds), PIMC (24 beds), Pedi Surgery (24 beds), Pedi Oncology/BMT (24 beds), and Level 4 NICU (92 beds)
• Handle 30-40 units of therapy per shift
• Work with 6-12 staff members per shift
• Required to work at least 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Voluntary floating to adult units available
• Required to wear olive/sage scrub top with black scrub bottom (all black acceptable)
• Perform nebulizer therapy, airway clearance, BiPAP, ventilator management, HFNC, bronch assist, and ABG procedures
• Work with advanced equipment including Servo U ventilator with NAVA, Avea Ventilator, V60 noninvasive, Vapotherm, Blender HFNC, Vest CPT, Redbox IPV, MetaNeb, Cough Assist, and Percussor CPT
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Must have 6 months to 1 year PICU or Level 3/Level 4 NICU experience
• Required certifications: CRT or RRT, Texas RCP license, BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS
• Must be a team player, able to work with others, and flexible
