CCU RN Job in Louisville, Kentucky

Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Coronary Care Unit in Louisville, Kentucky. This is an 89-day travel assignment beginning October 5, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $1,503.

Role Overview

You will work three 8-hour shifts per week providing direct patient care in a specialized cardiac unit. Your responsibilities will include performing comprehensive patient assessments, monitoring patient status, and implementing evidence-based nursing interventions within your RN scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and document thorough patient assessments, collecting objective and subjective data to identify risk factors and presenting complaints
• Develop prioritized problem lists in collaboration with the interprofessional team
• Implement patient care therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy, explaining all treatments and processes to patients and families
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition promptly
• Delegate appropriate tasks and oversee team members performing patient care activities
• Monitor the accuracy and completeness of delegated care provided by other staff
• Address patient and family educational needs related to their prioritized health problems
• Facilitate timely discharge planning in coordination with Case Management
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities focused on patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI reduction

Practice Standards

You will center your nursing practice on the patient as a whole person, considering individual culture, age, and developmental level when designing care interventions. Your work will be guided by evidence-based practice, current research, and a holistic perspective to support nursing excellence. You will actively participate in department initiatives aligned with organizational values and priorities.
