ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Variable weekend and holiday schedule based on department needs
• Acute care setting within a Level I Trauma Center
• Recent Level I or Level II Trauma experience required
• Float to OBS unit and freestanding ER at least once per week
• Patient ratios: 1:4 in zones, 1:6 in Fast Track, 1:5 in OBS, 1:1 ICU/Trauma
• Care for patients with diagnoses including trauma, sepsis, chest pain, shortness of breath, and strokes including TPA administration
• Administer all common drips seen in Level I trauma emergency rooms
• Required to read and interpret telemetry/monitor strips independently
• Work in a fast-paced, high acuity environment with 20 beds, 5 trauma bays, 10 OBS beds, and hallway beds
• Fast Track area with 6 beds and 3 dedicated triage beds available
• Charting system: EPIC
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
• Must pass an open book skills exam with a minimum score of 90% during orientation
• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from facility
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (NRP preferred)
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
