CT Technologist - CT Tech

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM EST
• On-call/callback responsibilities required
• Holiday and occasional weekend coverage required
• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure patient comfort
• Insert IVs when necessary for testing
• Position patients accordingly, including lifting or moving patients with limited mobility using safe patient handling techniques
• Maintain accurate patient record keeping by documenting all necessary components within EPIC
• Properly identify images and ensure images are sent to PACS system correctly upon exam completion
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
• Must have completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Maintain certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• NYS licensure required (must obtain prior to starting position)
• Two years of experience required
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only) required
• Telemetry experience required
• Injection therapy certification required on NYS license at time of submission
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred
• Must demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
• Patient and compassionate disposition required
• Must be a team player who can maintain a cohesive working environment
