About this role
You will work as an Interventional Radiology Technologist at Cobb Hospital in Austell, Georgia, supporting a dynamic vascular and interventional program. This is a day shift position running 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM across four 10-hour shifts, with on-call responsibilities requiring a 30-minute response time (maximum 14 days per 30-day schedule).
Your responsibilities include:
- Perform a wide variety of technical procedures in IR, Vascular Hybrid, and Neuro-interventional settings, using independent judgment and initiative
- Assist radiologists, vascular surgeons, and cardiologists during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
- Demonstrate and maintain sterile technique; prepare and verify all necessary supplies and equipment
- Verify patient identity using two identifiers and confirm written orders and consent
- Position patients appropriately, apply correct exposure factors, and ensure radiation protection protocols
- Provide patient and family education, including post-procedural home care instructions
- Maintain competency in anatomy, pathology, and all aspects of interventional and vascular procedures
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Interventional Special Procedures (IR, cardiac, or vascular hybrid settings)
- Current certification: ARRT-CV, ARRT-R, ARRT-VI, or RCIS
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- ACLS or ACLS-I preferred at time of hire
- High School Diploma, GED, or completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Flexibility to meet departmental needs and adjust hours as required
This 91-day contract runs from June 16, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,960. You will be part of a specialized team delivering advanced vascular and interventional care.
