CVOR RN Job in Portsmouth, NH

Join Portsmouth Regional Hospital NH as a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) RN. This is a 13-week travel assignment offering day shift work on a dynamic surgical team.

Role and Setting

You will work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room located on the 2nd floor of the main building. The unit operates 3 OR suites with a team structure of 1 charge nurse, 3–4 RNs, 2 scrub techs, and 1 aide or anesthesia tech per day shift. Night shift operates with a 3-member call team.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care for cardiac, vascular, and thoracic procedures
• Perform or assist with procedures including CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, EVAR, TEVAR, carotid endarterectomy, fistula creation and interventions, VATS, thoracotomy, fem-pop bypass, angiograms with interventions, LVAD, RVAD, and ECMO
• Provide Level 2 trauma coverage for all vascular and thoracic procedures
• Work with open heart, vascular, and thoracic equipment
• Maintain patient ratios and support surgical team coordination

Required Qualifications

You must have solid cardiac, vascular, and thoracic operating room experience. Ability to scrub cardiac and vascular cases is preferred. Familiarity with Meditech EMR is helpful. You will be expected to maintain punctuality and demonstrate flexibility with scheduling.

Call Requirements

This role includes on-call responsibility of approximately one weekend per month and 2–3 days per week with a 30-minute callback time. Time off requests must be included in your contract.

Shift and Pay

Day shift: 5x8 hours, 6:00 AM–3:00 PM. Weekly pay is $3,026. Assignment runs 91 days, starting June 22, 2026.
