Cath Lab Technologist

<p><strong>Allied Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>Cath Lab Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 10-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement<br>• First to float when needed<br>• Call required - rotate call 1x per week for inpatient and emergent cases<br>• Weekend call requirement 1 weekend per month from Friday evening through Monday AM<br>• Work in team of 2 techs per case (1 scrubs, 1 monitors hemodynamics)<br>• RN provides conscious sedation during procedures<br>• Sometimes 4th person (RN or tech) assists depending on case complexity<br>• Must have current cath lab experience required<br>• Must be comfortable with conscious and moderate sedation procedures<br>• Experience with procedural processes and airway management required<br>• Knowledge of cardiac drips (Integrilin, dopamine, vasopressors) and balloon pumps<br>• Handle 10-22 cases per day on average across 5 suites<br>• Work with cardiac/coronary, vascular, peripheral, general IR and neuro intervention cases<br>• STEMI receiving facility experience required<br>• Required certifications: ARRT, BLS, Fluoroscopy<br>• Use Cerner charting system<br>• No first time travelers accepted<br>• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This acute care medical facility operates a comprehensive 5-suite cardiac catheterization laboratory specializing in interventional cardiology and vascular procedures. The facility serves as a STEMI receiving center and offers advanced cardiac care including coronary interventions, peripheral vascular procedures, and electrophysiology cases.
