Med/Surg RN Job in Geneva, NY

Finger Lakes Health Geneva General Hospital is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Med/Surg unit. This is a 96-week travel assignment starting July 20, 2026.

Role Overview

You'll provide direct acute care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients with medical conditions. Your responsibilities include assessing patient and family needs, developing individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, administering medications, and applying clinical interventions. You'll monitor patient progress, adjust care plans based on patient response, educate patients and families on self-care and post-discharge healing, and promote patient comfort and emotional support.

Schedule & Compensation

• 3x12 rotating shifts (day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts required)
• 36 hours per week plus 2 on-call shifts every 4 weeks
• Weekly pay: $2,187.90

Requirements

• New York State RN Licensure
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Med/Surg environment
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification (AHA or RQI only)
• NIHSS certification

Key Duties

• Delegate tasks and interventions consistent with team members' education, training, and scope of practice
• Participate in quality improvement activities and engage in ongoing self-evaluation of nursing practice
• Comply with infection prevention strategies to safeguard patient and public safety

Work Environment

This position involves occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens, blood, body fluids, and tissues. You'll work at Finger Lakes Health Geneva General Hospital, 196 North St, Geneva, NY.
