Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with 36 or 48-hour weekly schedules (schedule may change during interview)
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 during days, nights, and weekends using team nursing approach
• Weekend coverage required as needed
• On-call shifts as needed
• Must have 2+ years of nursing experience (3+ years preferred)
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Travel experience required - at least 1 completed previous travel assignment
• Large hospital experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Skills required: Telemetry, IV Start
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Active RN license in state or compact license required
• ADN acceptable (BSN not required for this position)
• Cerner experience preferred
• Must live at least 100 miles from facility
• Provide care for cardiac stepdown patients requiring continuous monitoring
• Work with 48-bed unit featuring private rooms with bedside and telemetry monitoring
• Care for patients with cardiac, pulmonary, and other disease processes requiring more than standard medical/surgical care but less than intensive care
• May float between like units and campuses within 20 miles
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall during assignment
