Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 3x12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Care for adult acute care patients including those with elective back surgeries, trauma, prostate cancer, gallbladders, cellulitis, and pediatric overflow
• May be required to float within skillset
• May be required to work as charge nurse and to precept
• EPIC charting experience required - hard stop requirement, candidates without Epic experience will not be accepted
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Proficiency in Med/Surg care with experience using Rapid Response/Code teams required
• Skills required: peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration and tanks, and isolation precautions
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
• Patient age groups served: adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
