Physical Therapist Assistant Job in San Jose, CA

You will work as a Physical Therapist Assistant in home health, serving patients across San Jose, South Bay, and Santa Clara County. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning May 11, 2026.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct patient care in home settings under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Work 5 days per week on 8-hour day shifts (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
• Travel within a 50-mile radius to visit patients (locals accepted at local rate)

What You'll Need

• Current California PTA license
• BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
• 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant
• Home health experience required
• Valid 7-year work history documentation
• 2 references from the last year
• Nursys verification completed within the last 2 weeks
• Availability for lab work within 3-5 days of assignment start
• Epic experience preferred

What Happens Next

Upon arrival, you will complete orientation modules delivered through an e-learning system. Modules typically range from 1 to 5 hours depending on specialty focus. You will have one approved holiday time off during your assignment.
