Physical Therapist Assistant Job in Humansville, MO

Tide Health Group - Big Spring is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a long-term care setting in Humansville, MO. This is a 91-day travel assignment running 5x8 days per week, with a weekly pay rate of $1,584.

Position Overview

You will provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist. Your work will focus on evidence-based practice and direct patient care in a long-term care environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer therapeutic interventions including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices
• Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments
• Report effectiveness of treatment outcomes and provide consultation to patients, families, and caregivers
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic documentation system and record treatment minutes per regulatory requirements
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
• Collaborate with the supervising Physical Therapist to obtain necessary DME and supplies
• Supervise and support students under Physical Therapist guidance
• Complete required facility and company trainings and in-services

Requirements

• Active Missouri PTA license
• Minimum 1 year of PTA experience
• Long-term care or skilled nursing facility experience required
• New graduates accepted provided they have completed a Level II clinical experience
• Knowledge of APTA practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics

Shift Details

No on-call responsibilities. No weekend shifts required unless a holiday falls within Monday through Friday, in which case hours may be made up on the weekend. Start date is July 20, 2026.
