Perfusionist Job in New Orleans, LA

You will work as a Perfusionist at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of May 11, 2026. You will work 5 days per week on day shift, earning $6,532 per week.

Requirements:

• Current Louisiana State Board of Medical Perfusionist license at time of submission
• Certification by The American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion
• BLS certification
• Completion of formal training program in Extracorporeal Technology
• Minimum 2 years of experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Residence more than 65 miles from facility (local travelers not accepted)

Responsibilities:

• Conduct adult cardiopulmonary bypass procedures
• Provide ventricular assist support and Intra Aortic Balloon Pump support
• Conduct Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO)
• Perform auto transfusion, physiological monitoring, and hemofiltration including acute dialysis
• Operate various blood analyzers and ex-vivo organ systems
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations

Schedule and Expectations:

• Call required on weekdays and weekends in rotation
• 1:1 patient ratio across day, night, and weekend shifts
• 8 hours of orientation provided
• One pre-approved time off allowed during assignment
• No call-ins permitted
• May be assigned to Emergency Team during emergency events with expectation to remain at facility until event passes
