ED Registered Nurse Job in Larned, KS

Pawnee Valley Community Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 13, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $2,177.28.

Shift & Schedule

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week on a rotating schedule
• Approximately 6 weekend shifts per 13-week contract
• No block scheduling greater than three or four consecutive shifts
• Holiday work expected
• Free parking available

Role Details

• Work in a 25-room/25-bed emergency department with a daily census of 6
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Treat patients across all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Float to other units if short-staffed may be required

Clinical Skills & Equipment

• Central line blood draws, blood product administration, IV insulin protocols
• PICC line management, wound care, and wound vac equipment
• BiPAP/CPAP management and high flow nasal cannula (HFNC)
• Charting via Meditech system—experience required

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of emergency nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS or ENPC, and Neonatal Resuscitation Course certifications

Assignment Expectations

• Requests for time off must be approved and documented prior to start; keep RTO to a minimum, preferably no requests in the first two weeks
