RN - Progressive Care / Step Down

<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - PCU Stepdown</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work day/night rotation schedule with 36 hours per week<br>• On-call responsibilities required<br>• Work in 10-bed progressive care unit<br>• Care for patients with neuromuscular disorders, meningitis, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury<br>• Handle post-surgical patients including tumor resections (brain and spine), spinal surgery, and head and neck cancer cases<br>• Manage normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH) trials with lumbar drains<br>• Required experience with arterial lines, ventriculostomies, subdural drains, and lumbar drains<br>• Perform hemodynamic monitoring and invasive BP monitoring through arterial lines<br>• Manage Bi-PAP/C-PAP and trach C-PAP patients on ventilators<br>• Administer low dose pressors, vasoactive medications, and inotropes<br>• Handle mannitol and 3% saline administration<br>• Care for tracheostomy patients and complex wounds<br>• Manage various lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients<br>• Work in primary stroke center environment</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This medical center operates a specialized 10-bed progressive care unit focusing on neurological and neurosurgical conditions.
