Job Details:

• Primary base assignment in a 7-room inpatient/outpatient surgical unit operating Monday through Friday
• Unit typically finishes by 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM
• Float to main 26-room OR when overstaffed, rooms end early, or when additional coverage is needed within skill set
• 2 weekend call shifts required per contract with no other weekend obligations
• Scrub cases across multiple specialties including General Surgery (hernias, appendectomies, cholecystectomies, Nissen, PEG, and GI procedures)
• Colorectal procedures including open and laparoscopic bowel resections and some robotic cases
• Gynecology cases including oncology and benign open, laparoscopic, and robotic procedures, D&C, hysteroscopy, LEEP, and tubals
• Urology cases including cysto, stents, TURB, TURP, PERC, HoLEP, open, laparoscopic, and robotic nephrectomies and cystectomies, and gender affirmation with phalloplasty
• Breast procedures including biopsies, mastectomies with nodes, and mastectomies with reconstruction
• Eye procedures (3 times per month) including plastics, cataracts, and vitrectomies
• Brachytherapy device insertion assistance, primarily performed by radiation oncology team
• Plastics cases typically associated with breast or gender affirmation procedures
• Uro-Gynecology including slings and anterior/posterior repair
• Robotic surgery experience required with Da Vinci XI proficiency a must
• Experience scrubbing posterior eye and eye trauma cases a plus
• Main OR services include Orthopedics, Vascular, ENT, General Oncology, Transplant, Neurosurgery, Thoracic, Cardiac, and Trauma
