Neuro ICU RN Job in Indianapolis, IN

Franciscan Health Indianapolis is seeking an experienced RN for their Neuro ICU. You'll work 3 nights per week on a 12.5-hour schedule (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) with 36 guaranteed hours weekly. Every other weekend commitment is required, and there are no call obligations.

About the Role

You'll care for patients recovering from ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, post-operative craniotomy, seizures, encephalopathy, and neurologic tumors. Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3 depending on acuity. You'll float to other inpatient units when your home unit experiences low census.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Neuro ICU experience with comprehensive neurological assessment skills
• Proficiency in caring for hemodynamically unstable and mechanically ventilated patients
• Thorough knowledge of neurological assessment techniques
• Current ACLS, BLS, and State RN Licensure

Preferred Experience

• Pupillometer management
• EVD (external ventricular drain) care
• ICP waveform management
• CRRT (continuous renal replacement therapy)
• Epic EMR proficiency

Equipment and Systems

You'll work with Alaris Pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, EV 1000, and Neuroptics Pupillometer. The facility uses Epic for electronic medical records.

Dress Code

Navy scrubs are required. Hoodies are not acceptable attire.

Assignment Details

This is a 91-day travel assignment starting July 27, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,233.80.
