Job Details:

• Provide nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex under general supervision
• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Note all changes in physician orders for assigned patients
• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and observe physiological manifestations
• Intervene when necessary based on patient condition changes
• Administer medications as prescribed
• Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Deliver competent patient care consistently
• Interact with patients and families to share care plans during hospitalization and at time of discharge
• Inform patients and families of hospital procedures
• Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
