ED RN Job in Americus, GA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia. This is a 119-day travel assignment starting July 20, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $2,203.20.

Schedule and Shift Details

• 3x12 night shifts per week
• Available shift times: 6:45 AM, 11:00 AM, 3:00 PM, and 6:45 PM
• Every other weekend requirement with rotating holiday schedule
• 12-hour cancellation policy every 2 weeks

Clinical Environment

• 12-bed emergency department with 2 trauma bays and 1 seclusion room
• Fast track clinic with 4 rooms for ESI 4–5 patients
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Approximately 70 patients per day, ranging from neonates to geriatrics
• Case types include minor walk-in cases, trauma, and full acuity range
• Trauma cases stabilized and transferred via air evacuation; pediatric cases transferred out
• No floating required

Support and Resources

• 3-shift floor-specific orientation provided
• Charge nurses available on each shift (do not take patients)
• Support staff: 1 paramedic per shift, ER techs, and nurse externs
• Security and patient sitters for 1-on-1 psych hold observation
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7
• IV team available for midlines and difficult sticks (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM)
• Charting system: MEDITECH

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in emergency nursing
• 1 prior travel contract required
• Ventilator experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), CPI, NIHSS, PALS (AHA), TNCC
• BSN not required
• Must be located beyond a strict 75-mile radius from facility
