MRI Technologist Job in Peoria, IL

You'll work as an MRI Technologist at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. This is a 140-day travel assignment running nights on a 3x12 schedule, with a weekly pay rate of $2,628.

Your Schedule & Expectations

• Work three 12-hour night shifts (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
• One weekend per month required
• Possible holiday coverage as needed
• No on-call or standby duties

Your Clinical Responsibilities

• Operate GE MRI scanners: 1.5T (450W) and 3T (750W)
• Scan outpatients, inpatients, and emergency department patients
• Start intravenous lines as required for procedures
• Perform standard MRI acquisition sequences while adhering to MRI safety guidelines
• Collaborate with one MRI Tech assistant per shift
• Document and communicate using the Epic electronic medical record system

Required Qualifications & Credentials

• BLS certification (AHA)
• RTR MR certification
• Active Illinois state license
• Passing drug screen (all panels)

Orientation & Onboarding

You'll receive department-specific orientation tailored to your familiarity with GE scanner types. Plan for approximately one week of orientation along with 12 non-billable orientation hours to ensure you're fully prepared for your role.

Dress Code & Other Requirements

You must provide your own standard solid-colored scrubs. Tattoos must be covered while on duty. All candidates must pass a drug screening test.

Assignment begins April 21, 2026. If you hold current BLS and RTR MR credentials and have experience with GE MRI systems, this night-shift role offers consistent hours and the opportunity to work across multiple patient populations in a hospital setting.
