<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - Med Surg Orthopedic</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM<br>• Self-scheduling with cyclic rotation available<br>• Every other weekend requirement<br>• Holiday rotation with permanent staff<br>• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5-6<br>• 22-bed unit with average daily census of 6 patients<br>• One day of unit-specific orientation required<br>• BLS certification required<br>• Nebraska nursing license required for submission<br>• Must live more than 50 miles from facility (driver's license verification required)<br>• Cannot be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit facility<br>• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove results in contract termination<br>• Must pass open book skills exam on Friday during orientation with 90% or higher<br>• 30-minute response time required if called back from on-call status<br>• Care for orthopedic patients including total knee, hip, ankle, and shoulder replacements, plus spine surgeries<br>• Administer pain medications, antibiotics, and blood products<br>• Float to Med Surg, rehab, or PCU units as needed<br>• Work with telemetry equipment with dedicated tele techs for interpretation<br>• Collaborate with charge nurse who takes patient assignments<br>• Work alongside patient care technicians with 1:13 ratios<br>• Use EPIC charting system<br>• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This acute care facility operates as a Level 2 trauma center providing comprehensive orthopedic and medical surgical services.
