CT Technologist Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital is hiring a CT Technologist for a travel assignment in Rochester, NY. This is a 10-hour shift role running 89 days, starting July 6, 2026.

Shift Schedule

• Wednesday 7:30 AM to 10:00 PM EST
• Thursday 7:30 AM to 10:00 PM EST
• Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM EST
• On-call and callback coverage as needed per unit requirements

Your Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification before initiating scans according to department safety protocols
• Coordinate with physicians to deliver diagnostic imaging services
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure comfort
• Insert IVs when necessary for testing procedures
• Position patients appropriately, including safe handling of patients with limited mobility
• Document patient records accurately in the EPIC system
• Ensure proper image identification and correct transmission to the PACS system upon exam completion
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility environment

Required Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification
• NYS licensure with injection therapy certification prior to start date
• Two years of CT experience
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Formal training from an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Patient and compassionate demeanor
• Team-oriented mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment
