Registered Nurse - SICU @ Ochsner Medical Center - New Orleans

Opportunity:

RN - SICU

Job Details:

• Work in a high-acuity Surgical Intensive Care Unit with 1:2 patient ratios
• Float requirement to other ICUs and SDUs
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Weekend coverage required
• Care for adults and geriatric patients
• Must have 2 years of experience in specialty
• Travel experience required
• Must live over 65 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Preferred experience with PA catheters and balloon pumps
• Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy required
• **HARD STOP** - Transplant experience required (liver, heart, lung, kidney/pancreas)
• CVICU skills: Post-op CABG, valve replacement/repair, aortic dissection, IABP, PA catheter management
• SICU skills: General post-op surgical recovery patient care
• Care for cardiac surgery patients, transplant patients, general surgery, medicine overflow, and cardiac overflow
• Emergency team assignment possible during emergency events with expectation to remain at facility
• No block scheduling requests accepted
• Compact or Louisiana license required upon submittal
• NURSYS reports must be submitted with profile (within 4 weeks of submission)
• No call-ins accepted
