ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ED

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment
• 36-hour weekly guarantee
• Travel experience required
• Must be located outside a 100-mile radius
• Current NYS RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• MEDITECH experience required
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required
• Critical care and charge experience preferred
• Must have the ability to identify and intervene in life-threatening situations
• Must possess a thorough knowledge of nursing principles, ability to provide quality patient care, and ability to assess patient needs including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs
• Must recognize safety issues and be able to assess and implement use of lifts to move patients safely
• Must function well in stressful situations with strong creative problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate
• May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required
• Must successfully complete lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation and be defibrillation certified within six months
• Must be IV, medication, and phlebotomy certified during orientation
