X-Ray Technician Job in San Francisco, CA

You will provide mobile X-ray and EKG services across nursing homes, healthcare facilities, and other medical settings in the San Francisco area. This is a temporary assignment with a standard duration of 8 weeks, running nights on a 5x8 schedule at $2,880 per week.

Your responsibilities include:

• Perform and process X-rays using portable digital (DR) or computed (CR) radiography equipment
• Submit and transmit images to radiologists for interpretation
• Transport portable X-ray equipment into facilities and set up for physician-ordered exams
• Obtain clinically diagnostic, technically competent X-ray images
• Perform EKGs as needed and transmit results to cardiologists for interpretation
• Scan exam-related paperwork and billing documents daily per protocol
• Maintain vehicle and X-ray equipment in good working condition
• Communicate regularly with dispatch and management
• Interact professionally with peers, supervisory staff, and clients

Physical demands: You will be pushing and pulling equipment weighing 50–100 lbs, occurring 16 to 24 times per day. Weekend work is based on case load and may constitute overtime.

Requirements:

• Allied Health Professional degree or equivalent
• ARRT certification required
• California state X-ray license required
• Valid driver's license required
• On-call availability to be discussed at interview
