ICU Registered Nurse Job in Columbia, SC

Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
• Strong cardiac ICU experience required, specifically CCU or CVICU background
• Experience with advanced cardiac devices required including LVAD, Impella, IABP, and Transcatheter Pacing
• Care for cardiac and medical intensive care patients as well as some step-down overflow
• Patient ratio experience of 2:1 required
• Float required to ICUs and Cardiac Telemetry units
• Weekend coverage required
• Stand-by call required with no call pay
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• 1 year minimum experience with Epic EMR required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Required skills include: Impella, IABP, ventilator management, CRRT, invasive lines, hemodynamic monitoring, arterial line management, central line care/management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, sheath removal, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, pre/post cardiac cath/intervention, and post cardiac surgery care (not directly from OR)
• Additional skills include: blood product administration, continuous IV sedation, IV insulin protocols, interpretation of ABGs, PICC line management, pulmonary artery/Swan Ganz monitoring, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, and infection prevention/isolation precautions
• Pre-assignment testing and modules required to be completed within 48 hours of receiving login information
• Staff may be required to float to other units and campuses based on census needs
