About this role

St Joseph Hospital - Nashua is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for night shifts. You will work 3x12 hour nights on a 91-day travel contract beginning July 13, 2026, earning $2,496.60 weekly.

Your responsibilities:

  • Perform arterial blood gas drawing and analysis, patient assessments, and implement Therapist-Driven Protocols
  • Manage continuous mechanical ventilator care, including standing ventilator orders, Spontaneous Breathing Trials, and parameter documentation
  • Provide bronchial hygiene, chest physical therapy, oxygen administration, hyperinflation therapy, and aerosol therapy
  • Administer Updraft Nebulizer Therapy, Metered Dose Inhaler, IPPB, and USN therapy as ordered or per TDP
  • Monitor and document pulse oximetry results, providing physician recommendations for appropriate use
  • Conduct overnight saturation studies and generate reports before shift end
  • Perform incentive spirometry and record patient volumes and effort in the EMR
  • Respond to Trauma Team and PCI Team Activations, Code Blue, and Rapid Response Team calls
  • Perform endotracheal intubation and maintain airway management skills
  • Conduct nursery and pediatric procedures using designated infant-mode mechanical ventilators
  • Perform cuff pressure checks and document results every 6 hours and as needed
  • Complete charge duties including workload distribution, staff prioritization, and present one educational topic annually to Respiratory Therapy staff
  • Document all respiratory therapy treatments and activities in the EMR using the charge documentation system

Requirements:

  • Current New Hampshire license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification
  • Experience in therapeutic modalities and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
